O projeto est\u00e1 pelo s\u00e9timo ano consecutivo a reflorestar a Serra de Monchique ap\u00f3s o inc\u00eandio de 2018 em que arderam quase 28 mil hectares de floresta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A sess\u00e3o, realizada na F\u00f3ia, ponto mais alto da serra de Monchique, contou com a presen\u00e7a de Am\u00e9rico Ferreira, Comiss\u00e3o Executiva do GEOTA; Miguel Jer\u00f3nimo, coordenador do projeto; Paulo Alves, Presidente do Mun\u00edcipio de Monchique; Andr\u00e9 Gomes, Presidente da Regi\u00e3o de Turismo do Algarve (RTA) e Carlos Ludovico, Diretor Regional do Algarve do Instituto da Conserva\u00e7\u00e3o da Natureza e das Florestas (ICNF). O projeto conta ainda com o apoio financeiro da Ryanair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Com o objectivo de mudar a paisagem com esp\u00e9cies mais resilientes ao fogo est\u00e3o a ser plantados carvalhos, sobreiros, medronheiros, castanheiros, freixos, amieiros e outras esp\u00e9cies emblem\u00e1ticas como o carvalho-de-monchique.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Realizou-se hoje, o relan\u00e7amento do projeto Renature Monchique coordenado pelo GEOTA.
