Para dar vida a esta iniciativa, que atinge \u2018a maioridade\u2019 em 2020, ao completar a sua 18\u00aa edi\u00e7\u00e3o, foram necess\u00e1rios mais de 40 dias e 2500 horas de trabalho,<\/strong> embora os preparativos j\u00e1 tenham come\u00e7ado h\u00e1 v\u00e1rios meses, mesmo perante a incerteza da pandemia da Covid-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Como vem sendo habitual, a lista de materiais utilizados na sua constru\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 extensa e incorpora mais de 20 toneladas de areia, 4 toneladas de p\u00f3 de pedra, 3000 quilos de corti\u00e7a<\/strong> e centenas de adere\u00e7os.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Todos estes esfor\u00e7os permitiram que o Pres\u00e9pio Gigante chegasse, uma vez mais, \u00e0 meta dos 230 metros quadrados,<\/strong> ocupando toda a \u00e1rea expositiva do Centro Cultural Ant\u00f3nio Aleixo, com milhares de figuras, muitas feitas de raiz pelos seus autores e outras que podem atingir as v\u00e1rias centenas de euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Em 2020, a estrutura apresenta-se com nova configura\u00e7\u00e3o, mas volta a ter pe\u00e7as evocativas da regi\u00e3o, nomeadamente a Pra\u00e7a Marqu\u00eas de Pombal, as antigas cabanas da praia de Monte Gordo, as salinas, as tradicionais noras algarvias, assim como outros monumentos locais.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As mais de 80 pe\u00e7as animadas e motorizadas,<\/strong> os quatro lagos<\/strong> e a ilumina\u00e7\u00e3o c\u00e9nica constituem \u201co segredo\u201d do evento e s\u00e3o, simultaneamente, alguns dos pontos mais atrativos. Tudo isto assenta numa complexa base de suporte onde est\u00e3o instalados os v\u00e1rios quil\u00f3metros de cabos que permitem dar vida a esta obra de arte e garantem, por exemplo, a circula\u00e7\u00e3o da \u00e1gua, a ilumina\u00e7\u00e3o das casas e os efeitos c\u00e9nicos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Estes elementos juntam-se \u00e0 reconstitui\u00e7\u00e3o de muitos epis\u00f3dios crist\u00e3os e pag\u00e3os associados \u00e0 quadra natal\u00edcia – patentes no pres\u00e9pio – fatores que o distinguem de todos os outros existentes no pa\u00eds e s\u00e3o uma das raz\u00f5es do seu sucesso. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marca ecol\u00f3gica<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A vertente ecol\u00f3gica tamb\u00e9m n\u00e3o foi esquecida, j\u00e1 que a maior parte dos materiais s\u00e3o naturais ou foram reaproveitados, com destaque para a corti\u00e7a e musgo. Por outro lado, foram implementados, em muitas das pe\u00e7as, sistemas de ilumina\u00e7\u00e3o led.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uma refer\u00eancia no pa\u00eds<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Para Concei\u00e7\u00e3o Cabrita, presidente da C\u00e2mara Municipal de Vila Real de Santo Ant\u00f3nio, \u00abo Pres\u00e9pio Gigante j\u00e1 faz parte das tradi\u00e7\u00f5es natal\u00edcias do Algarve e \u00e9, sem d\u00favida, um dos eventos \u00e2ncora do munic\u00edpio, reunindo visitantes de todas as idades e de todos os pontos do pa\u00eds\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abMesmo em ano de pandemia, n\u00e3o quisemos deixar de dar vida a esta tradi\u00e7\u00e3o e reunimos todos os esfor\u00e7os n\u00e3o s\u00f3 para colocar a estrutura de p\u00e9, mas tamb\u00e9m para assegurar todas as condi\u00e7\u00f5es de seguran\u00e7a e higiene para quem visitar o pres\u00e9pio\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seguran\u00e7a refor\u00e7ada<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

De forma a garantir todas as condi\u00e7\u00f5es de seguran\u00e7a, este ano o pres\u00e9pio ter\u00e1 pontos de entrada e de sa\u00edda diferenciados, tendo sido tamb\u00e9m estabelecida uma lota\u00e7\u00e3o m\u00e1xima para assegurar a dist\u00e2ncia m\u00ednima de 2 metros entre visitantes. O uso de m\u00e1scara ser\u00e1 obrigat\u00f3rio, assim como a desinfe\u00e7\u00e3o das m\u00e3os \u00e0 entrada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sobre o Pres\u00e9pio Gigante de VRSA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

O Pres\u00e9pio Gigante de VRSA tem a assinatura de Augusto Rosa e Teresa Marques, dois funcion\u00e1rios aut\u00e1rquicos que contaram com a colabora\u00e7\u00e3o de Joaquim Soares e Ant\u00f3nio Bartolomeu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pode ser visitado no Centro Cultural Ant\u00f3nio Aleixo, entre 28 de novembro de 2020 e 6 de janeiro de 2021.<\/strong> Est\u00e1 diariamente aberto das 10h00 \u00e0s 13h00 e das 14h30 \u00e0s 19h00 (ver exce\u00e7\u00f5es). A entrada tem o valor de 0,50 euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
